Thank you for your support of the work and mission of the BRRAlliance. Your generous donation will allow us to continue to develop more environmentally and economically resilient communities within the four primary neighborhoods we serve. Our three community gardens provide hundreds of pounds of fresh, free produce to our community, which is otherwise located in a food desert, while our certification of the City of Buffalo as a National Wildlife Federation Habitat Community helps our residents and local wildlife thrive together. We also work as administrators of the Buffalo Main Street Initiative Grant, which allows for a revitalization of our Main Street and leads to increased local businesses and residential space. These projects and the many others we are involved in would not be possible without your support. We, and our community, greatly appreciate your donation and continued support.
BRRAlliance Board of Director’s President, Deneb Pirrone recently established the Sophie Manns Legacy Fund as a way to help support the administrative and operational needs of the organization. As a volunteer run and driven not for profit, the BRRAlliance operates on a very small margin of revenue from grants and project work it successfully attracts as investments into the community. Deneb recognizes that non-grant funded expenses are necessary for the organization to continue to grow and thrive and make an impact on the quality of life in our communities. By establishing this fund in honor of his maternal great-grandmother, Sohie Manns, he pays tribute to the start of his roots here in the northwest part of Buffalo and the descendants that followed her and called this part of the city home. All donations to this fund are tax deductible as allowed by law as the BRRAlliance is a registered 501(c)3 not for profit.
