Longtime Alliance Volunteers Recognized by the White House
On February 17th the BRRA held a volunteer appreciation event to express our deep gratitude towards our incredible community volunteers. As the BRRA is a predominantly volunteer run organization, the hours and effort put in by our volunteers are essential to our success within our communities. As a result of their hard work, several of our volunteers qualified for Presidential Service Awards, with our founder, Mary Ann Kedron receiving the lifetime achievement award recognizing the more than 5,000 hours of volunteer service she contributed to the BRRA since its founding. Other awardees include our Board President, Deneb Pirrone and our long time Dearborn Street community gardener, Marsha Hurd.
A big thank you again to all of our volunteers, your effort is key to the BRRA’s success!
