DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\nWelcome to the 3nd Annual Western New York Urban Treks Challenge brought to you by Outside Chronicles and the Black Rock Riverside Alliance (BRRAlliance). This challenge was created to get people out on our urban trails during our beautiful Buffalo summers. \nThe Western New York Urban Treks Challenge is designed to give people an opportunity to visit some of well-known and little-known urban parks. Along with hiking the trails\, the trail material will educate participants on parks history and local flora and fauna to spot along the trail. \nThe Urban Treks Challenge will run until October\, 15\, 2024.  Registration is $20 for a single individual and $40 for a family of up to four individuals. \nVisit https://outsidechronicles.com/urban/ for more information!

DESCRIPTION:The River Rock Run 5K is back for its third year!\n\nCome out to Riverside Park this September for a 5K run along the water with a view unmatched by any other run in the City of Buffalo! Our USA Track & Field-certified 5K track will take you through our Olmsted park\, south along the waterfront of northwest Buffalo\, through the loop at Tow Path park and back again.\n\nThis year\, we’re switching the run to a sunset run so our participants will get a spectacular evening view of the Niagara River waterfront\, before congregating back at Riverside Park for a post-run evening celebration for our finishers!\n\nThis year’s run will once again have chip timing services provided by Race Management Solutions\, Inc.\, the leaders in run timing services in Western New York!
